Class Descriptions All of our classes are Hatha yoga based with each instructor bringing their unique learning, training and perspective to each class. All-Level: A general Hatha Yoga class that addresses various levels of proficiency and adapts to the students needs in the class. The classes are open and ongoing. Beginner - Level 1 Series: A course that introduces students to the building blocks of a Hatha Yoga practice, including breathing techniques, postures and relaxation. This class is usually held as a consecutive 6-week series. Call to register. Family Yoga: A wonderful, fun and healthy hour designed to introduce children ages 4 and over and parents to yoga and movement. (parent participation is encouraged but not required). Offered as a 6-week series. Call to register. Gentle/Therapeutic Yoga: A simpler flow where postures are adapted as needed to meet most limitations. Class is geared to any special needs, including fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, arthritis, back and heart concerns. This class is open and on-going. Level II: A more advanced posture flow with more information about traditional yogic practices Prenatal Yoga: A yoga class specifically designed for pregnant women. 6-week series. Beginner Level II: Beginner Level II yoga continues to familiarize the newer student with the basics of hatha yoga and adds new postures to the practice. Yoga/Pilates: A fun and challenging class which brings together the core strengthening exercises of yoga and pilates. Pilates: A class which focuses on core strengthening through a series of excercises which improve posture, balance and flexibility. Kundalini Yoga: Originally taught only to the Brahmin Royalty in India, Kundalini Yoga is a powerful, dynamic, transformative branch of Yoga that uses postures, breath, meditation, and mantra, to cultivate an Awareness of Self. Brought to the West in the 1960's by Yogi Bhajan, Kundalini Yoga is now taught in the West and is often referred to as the "Yoga of Awareness." Beginner Kundalini Yoga: A course that introduces students to the basic practice of Kundalini Yoga, a transformative branch of Yoga that uses postures, breath, meditation, and mantra, to cultivate an Awareness of Self. This class is usually held as a consecutive 6-week series. Call to register. All-level Kundalini Yoga: Kundalini Yoga brings strength, balance and inner growth through its dynamic blend of breathing, stretching, movement, meditation and relaxation. This class is geared for all-levels of your kundalini yoga practice. Intermediate Kundalini Yoga: In this intermediate yoga class we will deepen your experience of Kundalini Yoga by doing more advanced series of postures and breathe exercises.
